A focus for the district for the last three years has been on Visible Learning. Across the district you will find teachers focusing students on learning intentions and success criteria, which is an important first step to their learning. Wednesday Chet Kupen from Sports in Kansas came to AMS to talk about the power of social media. The main message was how we (regardless of age) should use it in a positive manner, not negatively. He shared many stories of how social media can be a benefit, but also ones about how it was used in a negative manner. He stressed that we should always think before we post, share, send, etc. anything on any form of social media or text. Once sent it is out there for all to see and can easily be shared to many, many people in a matter of seconds. We want to represent ourselves, our family, our school, our community, etc. in a positive manner. #WeAre409
