Congratulations to Liam Patterson, John Collins, Christopher Tschauder, Regan Dugger, Delanie Wilder, Frances Knudsen, and Amara Kermer for being this year's recipients of the Kasten-Regan Scholarship!
Since May 2020, the Kasten-Regan Memorial Scholarship has awarded $31,000 to 23 deserving recipients, all of whom are or will be pursuing their higher education desires. Tim and Sue hope that each recipient of this scholarship will find it in their hearts to "pay it forward” to another deserving individual from Atchison in the future.

It's that bittersweet time of the year when we recognize those USD 409 staff members retiring this year. While we will miss them, we know they look forward to a new chapter in their book!
Our first retiree is Cindy Nedinger! Cindy has been a Kindergarten teacher at AES for 17 years!! In retirement, Cindy plans to ride her bicycle and kayak, attend a few St. Louis Cardinal baseball games, and help her mother!
Thank You, Cindy, for the past 17 years at USD 409! The number of lives you have changed is immeasurable! Enjoy retirement!
