AMS Athletics Updates:
Just a reminder that any AMS student who is planning to play a fall sport this year will need a SWAY test. SWAY testing will replace the Impact Test from years past and will be available to take tomorrow (8/14) after school starting at 3:00pm in the AMS Commons.

AMS/AHS Athletics: The Fall Sports Parent meeting for AMS and AHS fall sports will take place on Monday, August 10th starting at 6:00pm in the AHS Gym. There will be a general session for all athletes and then breakouts for individual teams. Fall sports for AMS are football, volleyball, cheer and cross country. Fall sports for AHS are football, boys soccer, volleyball, cross country, cheer, & dance. *Please note that Unified Bowling will have a separate parent meeting at a later date.

If your student physical is complete, please bring it to the meeting to turn in. We look forward to seeing everyone next week!

$30 Sports Physicals are available through Amberwell Atchison on Thursday, August 6th from 4:00pm - 6:30pm. Please see the link below to register and for more information.

The Atchison Rec. Commission will be hosting a youth basketball camp for elementary and middle school students on June 15 - 18, 2026. Stop down by the Atchison Recreation Commission office to sign up!

AMS Athletics: Please see the visitor/guest information information for Wednesday's track meet at Patton Junior High starting at 2:00pm

"As we prepare for Wednesday, we wanted to remind all our visiting teams and spectators of the processes for entering Fort Leavenworth.

Upon arrival at the Fort Leavenworth Grant Gate, vehicles may proceed to any open lane. Anyone 16 and over must show a REAL ID driver's license to the gate guard and let them know you are attending a track meet at Patton Jr. High School.

If you do not have a REAL ID-compliant driver's license, you will need to present a second form of identification at the gate. Examples of additional forms of identification that may be used in conjunction with a state non-REAL ID driver’s license can be found on the Visitor Control Center (https://home.army.mil/leavenworth/about/visitor-information/gate-information) website under the heading "REAL ID Act."
