State assessment season begins the week of March 30 with 8th grade Science. The following week, students in grades 6–8 will take the ELA assessments, followed by Math the week after. Each subject includes two sessions, with students completing one session per day. All sessions will be administered over multiple days during the designated testing week for each subject:
3/0 - 4/3: Science State Assessment Wk. (8th grade only)
4/7 - 4/10: ELA State Assessment Wk. (6th, 7th & 8th)
4/13 - 4/17: Math State Assessment Wk. (6th, 7th & 8th)
Some helpful things that parents can do are: make sure your child is goes to bed and gets plenty of sleep, gets a good breakfast, make sure your child comes to school on time, and encourage them to do their best. Below are a few tips that we talk about with kids that you could also discuss with them.
