AHS Athletics: We want to provide some updates for Friday's soccer and football games.

Boys Soccer: The game against with Cair Paravel will start later due to heat considerations. The start time of the game has been moved back to 7:00pm.

Football: The start time of the game will remain at 7:00pm. After consulting Ottawa HS and looking at our current forecast, we made the decision that we will keep the game to start as scheduled.

**We are closely monitoring the heat and humidity and have safety measures in place at all games, including frequent water breaks, access to cooling areas, and close observation by our coaching and athletic training staff. Activity will be adjusted or paused if conditions become unsafe. Please remind your student-athlete to hydrate not only throughout the day, but also throughout the week and report any dizziness, weakness, headache, nausea, or cramping immediately.

Team Updates: Due to forecasted heat indexes next week, several teams will have a different practice times to accommodate this.

AHS Football - Monday through Thursday this coming week, practice will be from 5:30am - 7:00am. Please see the Football Rooms announcements for more information.

AHS Boys Soccer- Soccer will practice from 5:00am - 7:00am on Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday this week due to heat. Tuesday's game time will be moved back to 6:00pm.

This week's game against Cair Paravel will be moved to Friday, Sept. 4th due to field availability. The game will still start at 6:00pm on Friday at the Bettis Family Sports Complex, 3025 SE Croco Rd, Topeka, KS 66605.

AHS Cross Country - Practices will be moved to 5:30am-6:30am for Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday this week.

Volleyball, Cheer, & Dance will not have any changes.
