AES 4th and 5th graders learned about Mae Jemison and rocketry! They had to design and build a straw rocket and then measure the flight distance! Great STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Skills! #WeAre409



Check out the fun STEM activities our 2nd & 3rd graders are doing. They learned about the science behind leap years. They first constructed Earth Jumpers and raced to see who could get to 366 days!

Kindergarten and First graders learned about Ruby Bridges. We put a STEM twist on it and designed and built a desk and chair for Ruby to study in at school! Our littlest engineers did a great job! #WeAre409

Due to slick road conditions, USD 409 will be on a 2-hour Late Start this morning. All buses will run two hours behind (ex. regular bus pick-up is at 6:55 now will be at 8:55 am). Buildings will be open to accommodate students who need to arrive early. There will be no AM Preschool today.
