Dear Families,
Welcome to the Atchison Public Schools Department of Special Education! I am thrilled to lead the wonderful team that serves students with exceptionalities in the USD 409 school district. Our staff is dedicated to ensuring that all students grow and achieve in equitable and inclusive learning environments. From preschool through 12th grade, students are served in the general education setting to the maximum extent appropriate, largely supported through co-teaching partnerships between grade level/content area specialists and special education teachers. This partnership allows learning to be enhanced for ALL learners.
